This is an administrative message sent to both INFO-HOCKEY-L and HOCKEY-L.
My apologies to those of you who see this twice.

Due to a number of reasons, it is necessary for me to now give up my
position as INFO-HOCKEY-L administrator and withdraw as a member of the
College Hockey Lists administration team.

Therefore, I would like to begin now the search for someone to take my place.

The type of work involved is not difficult to learn. It mainly deals with
learning several LISTSERV commands, understanding the approval process and
being able to check mail every so often to approve messages that need to be
approved, answering questions that people may have, keeping the content of
the list on topic and at a high level, and so on. It does involve a
certain level of commitment, but it should not be difficult since you'll
only have to deal with one list that has a very specific charter
(information posts only).

The other administrators - Wayne Smith (head honcho), Bill Fenwick
(HOCKEY-L), and Pete Kester (HOCKEY3) - would be available to help you get
going and to fill in as a backup when needed (vacation, etc.). The
multi-admin process has proven to work well and, I believe, has made the
lists better.

If you think you would be seriously interested in helping to put your stamp
on INFO-HOCKEY-L and to keep it running smoothly, I ask you to send me a message
and let me know your level of interest and qualifications. I will work
with the other administrators to determine which person would be best able
to do the job.

I will be happy to answer any questions that interested people may have.
Please send all replies to me and not to the list. Thank you!
