Another reason I hear for few WCHA nonconference games is travel costs.
But most teams fly to the majority of their away games, right?
Wisconsin flys to Alaska, Denver and CC, at the least. What if they flew
to Boston for two games instead of flying to Colorado once? It wouldn't cost
that much more.
Now in the CCHA, EVERYONE busses to all of their league games, except to/from
Fairbanks. I could see them complaining more about costs.
