It was interesting reading about Yale's new bulldog design. The
Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs are also getting new uniforms this year, but
haven't unveiled them yet. I have seen the design and some tee-shirts
have been printed already and it looks decent. The face of a bulldog
with an open mouth, four sharp fangs, and a spiked collar is backed by
crossed hockey sticks. It looks cool on tee-shirts but on jerseys, I
don't know. I've seen the design of the new jersey, and unfortunately
they have that stupid (IMO) diagonal stripe coming up from the bottom
into the logo (kind of like Calgary's if I remember right). Maybe I'm
just a traditionalist, but I think that stripe could be done away with.
UMD is supposed to unveil them in a couple weeks, so it should be
interesting.
