What if Northeastern vs. LSSU was on ESPN for all to see. Here on the list
we all know NU was hosed, but we'll get over it. I'm still going to watch
games next year. The casual fan (the one the higher-ups are trying to get)
would be very turned off by being able to watch in slow-motion that the wrong
team won.
It hasn't seemed to hurt the NFL, MLB or the NHL. In fact it may give the
disintersted party someone to cheer against ;->
The NBA has shown the way to national interest. The game does not matter
what you need are recognizable stars. College hoops didn't start to get
national overkill until the NBA did, I think collge hockey would get "hot"
if the NHL followed the NBA example of promoting players over the game.
I guess that means for good or bad, college hockey will never become
what collge hoops is.
