1) Regarding TV coverage: I see MSG (my local (Albany) PRIME carrier)
broadcasting the first semi live, and the second on tape delay, but I also see
Sportschannel carrying the second semi live (@8pm). MSG is showing Volleyball
at that time (no offence to Volleyball fans).
2) I can't add anything to Julian's excellent write-up of the Harvard victory
over UNH, yet I would like to mention that a) the mixing of lines (moving
Martins to play with some of the fourth liners) I think was Tommassoni's way
of getting those fourth-liners out on the ice. They only had a few shifts
in the first two periods, while I think Martins was being double-shifted--
once the game was 5-1 or so, the coach played the 3rd and 4th line almost
exclusively; b) I think Farrell's goal, number 28 on the season, gives him
20 power play goals (correct me if I'm wrong): this breaks the long-standing
record for power play goals in a season, held jointly by Tim Smith, C.J. Young,
and Al Bourbeau.
