CHALLENGERS GAIN HOPE FROM CORNELL TIE
Clarkson, SLU, RPI Sweep To Gain A Point On Big Red
Tim Vanini's goal at 19:50 of the third period salvaged a tie for ECAC
leader Cornell against Harvard on Saturday night. With sweeps forged by
Clarkson, St. Lawrence and RPI, challengers to the Big Red picked up a point
as the league approaches its ultimate weekend of play.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mike Millham, Vermont SR G. The native of Chenango Bridge,
NY stopped 48 of 51 shots in two low-scoring (4-2 and 3-1) road wins at
Princeton and Army.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Rob LaFerriere, Princeton FR LW. A Native of E. Freetown,
MA, LaFerriere had two goals against RPI and added another against Vermont.
Home Ice Showdown Ahead: The fourth and final home ice spot could be decided
Friday when #4 RPI hosts #5 Harvard.
