Regarding the 1991-92 UPSIDA stats, it's interesting to note that Scott
Pellerin is nowhere to be found among the scoring leaders. One would
think that the Hobey Baker winner, playing for the third highest scoring
team in the nation, would rack up some points here and there. Hmm?
With my final(?) pitch, I'll once again say that it's a shame that Denny
Felsner and Darrin Madeley received little or no recognition.
Felsner:
1991-92 National scoring leader
1991-92 CCHA scoring leader
1990-91 CCHA scoring leader
1988-92 CCHA all-time goal scoring leader
1991-92 First team All-America
1990-91 Second team All-America
1991-92 Hobey Baker finalist
1990-91 Hobey Baker finalist
1991-92 led Michigan to first ever CCHA championship
Madeley:
1991-92 National goaltending leader
1990-91 National goaltending leader
1989-92 CCHA all-time leader in playoff wins
1991-92 First team All-America
1990-91 First team All-America
1991-92 Hobey Baker finalist
1991-92 led LSSU to National championship
1991-92 led LSSU to CCHA playoff championship
1990-91 led LSSU to CCHA season and playoff championship
Yet, neither of these two greats can even claim a CCHA player-of-the-year
award. Hmm?
