We learned last night that Providence goaltender Bob Bell will be out for
3 to 4 weeks with strained ligaments in his knee. The injury occurred
with 2 minutes remaining in the first period of Friday's contest against
Union. Apparently, Bell made a leg save that left him with his leg
extended out of the crease. A player coming in for the rebound
inadvertently made contact with the knee causing the injury. This leaves
the Friars with Dan Dennis in net and Vin Martino as backup.
