Yes, the topic is correct. UNO, down 4-1 with 20 minutes to go, got 6 goals
in the final frame to get a historic first road sweep over Mankato St. by a
final of 7-4. I only heard the last 5 minutes on the radio as I was at that
other Nebraska school's basketball game, who also won in come from behind
fashion.
I don't have many details, UNO was outshot on the game, but went 6 fer 14 in
the third(sounds like a basketball line).
UNO improves to 9-16-0 in Div I play, 10-16-1 in NCAA play and 10-17-1
overall, and extends their unbeaten streak to 6 games.
UNO gets the honor of being only the second & last team that
Alabama-Huntsville goes on the road to face this year, when they come to
"the Bullpen" that is the Civic Auditorium next weekend.
Mankato St. comes to Omaha in 3 weeks seeking revenge, but only after UNO
goes to Maine for a pair in 2 weeks.
Can't wait to read about this one in the paper tomorrow. Only bad thing
about it is that wasn't in front of a home crowd.
