UND gets two points closer to a WCHA title with a 2-0 win tonight.  The
shots may have been in the twenties for both teams, but the number of
quality shots was closer to 10 apiece.  The only scoring came via two
very nice plays which were capped off by goals from Jeff Ulmer and David
Hoogsteen.
 
Quick thoughts:
 
Give a lot of credit to UAA's defense.  UND didn't seeme to have a
terrible game, but rather seemed to have trouble against the UAA
defenseman.  The Sioux only had a handful of transition plays which lead
to shots on goal (and two of those went in!).
 
Schweitzer, although not challenged tonight, continues to play well and
had the save of the night by diving all of the way across the crease to
stop a shot.
 
Both teams face off same time on Saturday and pending the outcome of the
CC/UM game, it may be for a league title.
 
Other games:
 
Kudos to CC goalie Jason Cugnet who is playing extrememly well.  The
reason why I mention him is his one performance up here where he let in
five goals appears to be an aberration.
