UF comes from behind to tie OU Bobcats

Wed. Jan. 15, 1997 - OU 2 at U of Findlay 2

The University of Findlay Oilers hosted ACHA power OU last night at the
Hancock Recreation Center and came from behind to tie the Bobcats 2-2.
After trailing 2-0 early in the second, the Oilers Ryan weber
(Cincinnati, OH) scored his 4th goal of the season on the power play to
cut the lead in half. The Oilers then tied the game :35 seconds into the
final period as Weber again scored a power play goal. It seemed to be a
special teams night as both OU goals came on power play opportunities as
well. Larry Amsden (N. St. Paul, MN) recorded 2 assists, and Ron
Salomonson (Farmington Hills, MI) and Troy Martin (London, ONT) also
picked up an assist each. Jim Brunner (Conneaut Lake, PA) played an
outstanding game in the pipes kicking out 35 saves as did Brody Danner
for the Bobcats (32 saves).

The Oilers now stand at 10-10-1 overall and wait until next weekend as
they take on a Wisconsin D. III program - Lawrence U. in Findlay, OH.
