Fellow Hockey-Lers,

Without going into too much detail, I may have the opportunity very shortly
to make a new career move that will drop me into the Twin Cities area, most
likely St. Paul side. It's an exciting opportunity, and I'm strongly
considering it, but I didn't have as much chance as I would have liked to
explore the area when I was out there this weekend. Hence, I turn to you
hockey fans who are already there.

I know that pro hockey will soon be a thing of the past in Minnesota. I
also know that college hockey is second to none in Minnesota, and I'm
looking forward to seeing some games this winter; it'd be an interesting
change of pace not to have so much of my soul invested in either team
playing a game. :-) But hockey isn't my first concern.

I'm looking for your opinions and impressions of what life is like for a
professional in his/her mid to late 20s in the Twin Cities area. I keep
hearing that there's lots of culture and social life in the area, but
nobody's been very specific yet. I'd like to hear some examples of
experiences you've had there, both good and bad.

Obviously, this is not relevant to the list, so please e-mail me directly

Those Cornellians who know me personally, I ask you the favor of keeping
mum on this. Thanks.
