To add to what has been said (in response to Kevin).
X number of people suffer traumatic spinal cord injuries.  I don' have enough
spare change to donate money to all X - only 1.  So I shouldn't donate to
that one because it's not fair to the other X-1?  If I so choose - shouldn't
I be able to help 1 person without feeling guilt because I didn't help
everyone?  I earn my money - I distribute it as I see fit.
