Jay Pandolfo's effort against Northeastern raises the question -
who else in NCAA Division I history has netted a shorthanded hat trick?

I know of at least three

1) C.J. Young (Harvard) vs. Dartmouth, Dec. 12, 1988.

Young netted all three on one Big Green power play, over a 49 second span
covering two periods. That is 'catching lightning in a bottle,'
as Bill Mosienko once said (after scoring three goals in 21 seconds
of an NHL game).

2) Jayson Greyerbiehl (Colgate) vs. Yale, 1988-89.

3) Greg Drescher (Colgate) vs. RPI, 1986-87.

Notice that Young and Greyerbiehl did it in the same season -
unless my memory fails, some player out West did it that
year.
