According to the 1993-94 and 1994-95 ECAC Hockey Guides, the last two
winners of the Best Defensive Forward Award were Princeton's Ian Sharp
(1993-94) and St. Lawrence's Greg Carvel (1992-93).
 
Askew is best known for his high penalty minute totals.
