BG wins a thriller in OT 3-2 on Brian Holzinger's second goal of the game.
It came with approx. 3:30 to go in the 1st OT.
Oddly enough, the OT was played as the hardest of the series, while the
other six were played not to lose.
Holzinger's GW was scored from Lisko's right to left. Zinger skated to
his right as slid the puck back to the short side. Lisko commited way too
early on the play.
Holzinger's first goal was a short handed tally as Proger stole
the puck in the BG zone and skated the length of the ice on a two on one.
As soon as the defender was diving to the ice, Proger slid a pass
underneath him and Zinger slammed the puck into the empty side of the net.
Lisko had NO chance on the play.
This goal tied the game at two. Ferris took the 2-1 lead as Christian
scored on a no-angle shot that went in Petrie's 5-hole.
BG's first goal was by Curtis Fry on an odd shot. This tied the game at
1. It came from just behind the goal line as Fry attempted to put a pass
out in front and by
accident hit Lisko's pad from behind and the puck was in the net. It
barely hit his pad, but it did and it went in. The Ferris State first
goal was on a breakaway by ( I forget #14 something Italian) He put the
puck in on a second attempt as no defender backchecked.
Interesting game, now on to the JOE.
