This note is only marginally related to college hockey, but I am
going to post it anyway.  This weekend my 14-year-old son was
playing Nintendo hockey with a friend.  I had my wife come watch.
(We have both had Maine season tickets for years.)  There were
some spectacular body checks, including a few textbook boarding
penalties, in my view.  My wife's comment after watching a couple
of shifts:  "Well, if he is going to be in front of the TV this is
much better than all that violent stuff on the network channels."
