Well...the University of Alaska Seawolves ended their eight game winless
streak, and picked up a nice 4-2 win against Mankato State University - a team
that really does deserve to be Division I methinks...

Shots on goal: UAA 17-18-25 60 Scoring: UAA 0-2-2
                MSU 4-10-10 24 MSU 0-0-2

That basically tells the story... The Seawolves came out and worked with the
intensity and desire to win a game. It didn't hurt that they decided to take a
few more shots today then normal either... :)

Not to take anything away from Mankato State, as they played rather well, and
could be a Div I team, but it was really all UAA's game - The score just as
well could have been 4-0 UAA with the way that they played. At least one if
not both of Mankato's goals (of which were scored in the third period) were
close in (like basically from the crease).

Overall, it was a nice change from the trend of late...and the Wolves seemed to
have picked up the play in just about every aspect of the game. Admittedly,
they are still a young team, and have a ways to go, but I was impressed with
their marked improvement over last weekend. :) Now lets see if they can keep
it up!
