In a game earlier this season, UAF lost a goal scored cleanly just after
the ref blew his whistle to stop play. The goal was waived off. When asked
what the whistle had been for, the ref said that it was because he had lost
sight of the puck. Which lead one of the players (who shall remain
nameless!) to say, rather loudly, "Maybe we ought to all start using white
tape on our sticks, so you'll be able to see the puck, eh?"
