After getting excited by Keith Instone's post earlier, I waited until
the Daily Sentinel- Tribune arrived and saw the story about Brian
Holzinger signing with the Sabres. Here is some of what the article
says. Holzinger's agent Steve Bartlett and the Sabres reached an
agreement yesterday morning on a 3 year deal for undisclosed terms. The
contract is good for the rest of this season and the next two seasons.
Zinger flew to Buffalo this morning to take a physical and sign the
contract and then is supposed to fly to Quebec where he may possibly play
in Friday's game between the Sabres and the Nordiques. Depending on his
performance, Brian will either stay with the club or be sent to their AHL
affiliate Rochester Americans. Word has it that Zinger will be able to
wear #19, the same # he wore at BG.

Note: #19 for the BG Falcons may be retired as the number has been worn
by both Holzinger and all time leading scorer for the Falcons and current
Winnepeg Jet Nelson Emerson.
