BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY -- The Falcons will be making their third
straight appearance at Joe Louis Arena.  Bowling Green has played in nine of
the 10 longest playoff games in CCHA history.  Senior center Brian Holzinger
scored his 100th career goal in Friday's win over Notre Dame.
 
FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY -- Next season coach Bob Daniels will return a strong
nucleus as eight of his top 10 scorers will be back as well as netminder Jeff
Blashill, who recorded 10 of FSU's 12 victories.  Freshman Jason Blake finished
second on the team in scoring with 32 points on 16 goals and 16 assists.
 
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO -- The Flames will graduate four of their top
five scorers and five of their top nine.  Junior Rob Hutson led UIC in scoring
with 42 points on 14 goals and 28 assists, while freshman Kevin O'Keefe led the
Flames with three game-winning goals and five power play goals.
 
LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY -- Freshman netminder John Grahame has allowed
more than four goals in a game once this season.  He has a 10-1-0 record in his
last 11 games, allowing 21 goals for a 1.91 goals- against average in 658:49.
Grahame has stopped 232 shots for a .917 saves percentage.
 
MIAMI UNIVERSITY -- Senior right wing Jason Mallon scored five points in the
first round series for the second straight year.  Last year versus Alaska
Fairbanks, he had one goal and four assists, while this past weekend against
Ferris State, Mallon had three goals and two assists with a plus/minus rating
of +6.
 
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN -- Sophomore center Brendan Morrison continued his
scoring by recording eight assists in the Wolverines' first round series sweep
of Ohio State.  In Michigan's five games (all wins) over OSU, Morrison had two
goals and 16 assists for 18 points and a plus/minus rating of +10.
 
MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY -- After being held to two goals and no assists in
his nine previous games, freshman center Richard Keyes had three goals and two
assists along with his first two collegiate game-winning goals in the Spartans'
sweep of UIC.  He has a plus/minus rating of +4 in the playoffs.
 
UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME -- The Fighting Irish's senior class combined for 24
points on nine goals and 15 assists, while the junior class comprised five of
UND's top nine scorers.  The other four players among the top nine included
three sophomores and freshman Lyle Andrusiak.
 
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY -- All four members of the Buckeyes senior class set
career highs for points in a season:  right wing Sacha Guilbault had 32 points
in 29 games; left wing Adam Smith had 24 points in 33 games; defenseman Sandy
Fraser had three assists in 31 games; and Steve Richards (who played every
position but goaltender this year) had 37 points in 38 games to lead OSU in
scoring.
 
WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY -- Senior right wing Brian Gallentine had four
goals and four assists in his last five games to finish with career highs in
goals (23), assists (17), points (40), power play goals (6), shorthanded goals
(3) and plus/minus (+17).
 
UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS -- The Nanooks will return eight of their top 10
scorers next year when they become a full-time member of the CCHA.  UAF will
play its first CCHA game on Thursday, October 19, 1995, when it entertains the
Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in the first of a three-game series.
 
CCHA ATTENDANCE REACHES ALL-TIME HIGH -- The average attendance for the 135
league games during the 1994-95 season was 3,809, eclipsing the previous record
of 3,493 set during the 1991-92 season.  Average percentage of capacity for
this past season was 79.28 percent breaking the record of 74.89 percent set
during the 1992-93 season.
 
CCHA LEAGUE NOTES -- Home teams compiled a 70-50-15 record for a .574 winning
percentage.  In the 135 conference games, 1,032 goals were scored for an
average of 7.64 per game.  Teams converted on 325 of 1,605 power play
opportunities for a 20.2 percent success rate, while allowing 60 shorthanded
goals.
 
CCHA CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES -- Bowling Green and Michigan State have met five times
at Joe Louis Arena during the CCHA Championships with the Spartans leading the
series with a 4-1 record.  Lake Superior leads Michigan, 3-1, while the
Wolverines and the Redskins have never met at "The Joe."
