Somebody said that the Ferraros don't drink and that they went to class
because they were not hungover. I remember somebody asking them if they ever
had a sip of alcohol when I was in H.S. and they explained that they never had a
taste for the booze. If you ask me, this is a good thing. There is pressure
at college to drink and for the twins to just "SAY NO" shows how strong their
character really is. Also, there are a lot of little kids who look up to these
guys as role models and to know that they never booze helps to enhance their
image as champions. For people who know the twins and their desire to make the
NHL, it is no surprise that they don't drink. Anything that hampers their
ability to perform on the ice is just not worth doing. As far as leisure
activities are concerned, don't ever challenge the twins to a game of table
hockey (USA vs RUSSIA LEVER HOCKEY GAME) Rumor has it they are very skilled!
Also, does anyone know where Cal Ingraham will wind up after his days
at Maine are over. I heard someone say he will go to Europe and play. Is this
true?
Finally, back to the drinking thing, I don't want anybody to think that
I am against the act. If Paul Kariya did shots between periods and still
played the way he did this year thats fine. I just don't feel drinking should
take place if it keeps players from doing their best.
