OK, I've learned to never ask a simple question. It appears everyone
wishing to express their allegiances has spoken and, as best I could
interpret, here are two versions of the most meaningless summary you'll
ever see.

Method A ("Unallocated") - each team favorably mentioned gets one full
point, regardless of how many schools were mentioned by a single
respondent. So, there are more total points than respondents. If
someone mentioned five schools, there are five points contributed by
his/her response.

Method B ("Allocated") - each respondent gets only one point to split
between schools with Div I hockey programs, divided equally since
(unfortunately) the respondent wasn't asked for weights. So, from a
response that mentions "RPI, Boston U, North Dakota and Fresno State",
Division I hockey schools RPI, BU and UND each get 0.33 points. In the
"Other Allegiances" tabulation, Fresno State gets 0.25 points.

Eagle-eyes will think there's a point missing from Division I totals.
Not so; Dan Doucette only mentioned the Charlestown Chiefs. Everyone
send Dan an email.

I didn't get around to tabulating "Blanket Opposition Allegiances"
expressed as "anyone who's playing against [blank]", but I think the
first three places went to "Michigan for playing that fight song",
"Michigan because they're evil" and "Michigan and I don't need a reason."

There's a summary of who said what, as reflected in the tabulation.
Factors by names represent their fractional point allocations under
Method B (only if they mentioned more than one school). Apologies to
anyone misrepresented. I pray the list server supports fixed fonts.
