Anybody who was at Worcester care to answer a
question regarding the Maine goal?

What I saw on TV was this: A stick was sliding across
the ice. The puck came to Schutte in the crease, and
behind him was a BC player (turned out to be Orpik)
trying to cover him, but without a stick. Schutte had
position on Orpik. Schutte made a couple of moves,
scored, and Orpik raised his hands, as if to complain.

My guess is that he had a legitimate beef - that he
had lost his stick, and that someone, probably
Schutte, pushed it away (which should be an
interference penalty).

BUT I thought that it was odd that he basically stood
there and watched as Schutte swept the puck laterally
across the crease about three times and tucked the
puck behind Clemmensen. Seems to me that he should
have at least popped Schutte on the shoulder and
preferably tried to give him a bear hug. A penalty
would have been better than watching the opponent with
the goalie at his mercy, right at the edge of the
crease.

Clay
