USA Hockey announced today the signing of 12 members of the U.S.
National Under-18 Team to national letters of intent with NCAA Division
I Universities.
The 12 players are:
Pat Aufiero, D, 6-1, 175; 19 gp, 3-6-9 (Boston U.)
Matt Doman, F, 6-0, 213; 22, 8-7-15 (Wisconsin)
David Tanabe, D, 6-2, 183; 22, 1-4-5 (Wisconsin)
Doug Meyer, F, 6-1, 189; 23, 8-6-14 (Minnesota)
Jordan Leopold, D, 6-0, 188; 18, 3-2-5 (Minnesota)
Adam Hauser, G, 6-1, 191; 13 gp, 5-4-2-1, 3.11, .893 (Minnesota)
Doug Janik, D, 6-1, 188; 20; 2-4-6 (Maine)
Willie Levesque, F, 6-1, 193; 19, 5-8-13 (Northeastern)
Will Magnuson, D, 6-3, 221; 25, 0-6-6 (Lake Superior State)
Jon Insana, D, 6-0, 173; 16, 2-4-6 (Michigan State)
Andrew Hutchinson, D, 6-2, 177; 21, 1-11-12 (Michigan State)
Adam Hall, F, 6-2, 180; 23, 8-7-15 (Michigan State)
All signees are 17 years old. The U.S. National Under-18 Team is
comprised of 46 of the top 16-17 year old players in the United States.
The team competes against teams from the Ontario Hockey League (OHL),
United States Hockey League (USHL) and North American Hockey League
(NAHL). The U.S. teams play against top International competition as
well.
The U.S. National Under-18 Team is currently hosting the Russian
Under-17 National Team in a four-game series at Ann Arbor and Troy,
Michigan.
