Something that the ECAC fans on the list should appreciate -
 
The St. Lawrence University Skating Saints are in the midst of four
consecutive games with none other than the imfamous Mr. Pierre Belanger
as one of their referees.  Pierre did both games of the recent home
weekend and will follow the team to Dartmouth and then Vermont over
the coming weekend.  I wonder if this is a "reward" for winning the
ECAC Tourney last year?
 
Although he hasn't fully reached midseason form yet, Pierre did manage
to make enough outrageous calls this past weekend to make sure the fans
knew who was refereeing the game - a terrible disallowance of a clear
Saint goal on a rebound against Northeastern and enough penalties against
SLU to give the Saint penalty killers lots of early season work.  Given
Belanger's noted ability to hold a grudge - I wonder what shape the Saints
will be in by the time they get to Vermont...
