Des Moines Buccaneers (Jr. A) end their season with league records!
Their record season: 38-5-5 includes fewest losses, most wins, and fewest
goals allowed (144).
Those Bucs receiving awards at the final game were:
Brad Frattaroli - voted most valuable player by his teammates and also won the
 
Curt Hammer award which goes to the team s leading scorer.
 
Geoff Bennetts - Bob McCorkle Memorial award for sportsmanship as voted by
teammates
 
Reggie Berg - Landmark Trophy for the most popular player, as voted by fans
 
Erik Day - Scholarship award
 
Marc Magliarditi - Booster Club rookie of the year
 
Joe Provenzano - Bob Punsalan Memorial award for dedication to local amateur
hockey
 
Regg Simon -  Community service award
 
CONGRATULATIONS TEAM AND COACH BOB FERGUSON
 
And since this is about college hockey . . .
Center Brad Frattaroli, forward Bobby Davis and defenseman Brad Timmons
committed to Northern Michigan and right wing Ethan Philpott committed to
return to Harvard, where he played last season.  Defenseman Bryce Macken goes
to St. Cloud State, goaltender Marc Magliarditi to Western Michigan, center
Reggie Berg to Minnesota, and center Craig Hagkull to Notre Dame.
