Brown defeated SLU 8-2 tonight at Meehan. Brown did everything tonight that
they did not do last night (although there were still a couple of defensive
collapses)...the big kick was the power play. Brown scored 4 power play goals.
Brian Audette started tonight's game for Brown and played very well, making
some key saves. The first goal he gave up appeared to be a problem as a result
of being screened by one of his own defenders...and the second SLU goal was
pretty ugly, as the puck was up in the air, came down, and after a big pileup
a goal was awarded. Oh well. SLU did hit the pipe twice in the game, but
Audette was solid. Brown really forechecked well throughout the game and made
what looked like an embarrassing moment into a lesson for one SLU player. In
the 2nd period, while on the power play, Brown could not get the puck away from
an SLU player who was moving very well-IN the BROWN zone!-until the puck was
taken from him and Jardine put a nice shot in to giveBRown a 4-1 lead.
Overall, this was a good game for Brown, especally for seniors Martino, Trach,
Hannah, and Captain Mike Traggio as they all got points. These guys have
tourney experience and can hopefully give Brown the boost to win the ECAC
tourney. I have one big wish for the conference tourney and 2 little wishes
to complement it. The little wishes include wins over RPI and Clarkson, which
would give Brown the ECAC Tournament Title (as Clarkson and Brown are 1-2).

On another side note...I guess the Big Green of Dartmouth made it interesting
even though things did not go their way in other games.

What a wild and wacky weekend...adios...
