GOPHERS TO RECEIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS AT WILD GAME SUNDAY
The University of Minnesota womenıs hockey will receive its 2000
American Womenıs College Hockey Alliance National Championship rings in a
ceremony preceding the Minnesota Wildıs game with the Edmonton Oilers,
Sunday, Nov. 12, beginning at 7:07 p.m. at the Excel Energy Center in St.
Paul.
The ring presentation will culminate a weekend celebration of last
yearıs national championship. The Gophers face Minnesota-Duluth in a
two-game series this weekend at Mariucci. At Fridayıs game, the first 1,600
fans to enter the arena will receive replica championship rings and, prior
to Saturdayıs game, fans will receive a championship team poster. Both games
are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. faceoffs.
