Last night the Buckeyes beat the Western Michigan Broncos 6-2 at the Ohio Fairgrounds.
The Bucks looked great the first 5 minutes of the 1st, then proceeded to play like they
were short-handed for the rest of the period. They actually _were_ shorthanded for the
last few minutes, with penalties to Sellecke (a really obvious one) and Power, but only
gave the Broncos one goal out of it. End of 1st---2-0, Broncos. Then, OSU came out in
the second and third and played well (especially in the third, which has been their
weak period for the past couple of years), scoring 6 unanswered goals to win the game.
WMU tried some last minute attempts at starting fights, but nothing came of it. Aho
looked good in goal, yet again---this guy is going places if he continues to improve as
he has so far. The win puts OSU 1 point above Ferris State and places them 7th in the
CCHA, and since Ferris plays Miami and Lake State this weekend, we should stay there for
now, especially if we can beat BGSU on Sunday (also at the Fairgrounds).
