Received a fax minutes ago that Jerry Welsh stepped down as Ohio State coach
after being informed by school AD Andy Geiger that his contract would not be
renewed after this season.
Current assistant coach John Markell will serve as interim head coach for the
balance of the season.
that's all it said, aside from Welsh's career stats and two-sentence bio on
Markell.
