When I was a wee lad growing up in the Minneapolis hinterlands (Nordeast, to be
exact) I recall Bob Kurtz
calling Twins games on KMSP-TV.
What does this have to do with college hockey? His partner at the time was Larry
Osterman...who is now
the color analyst on PASS's CCHA coverage (now part of Prime Network's game o'
the week). A small,
small world...
This is not quite true. As far as I know, and admittedly I've been away from
Michigan for six months now, Osterman was the play-by-play guy on the PASS game
of the week, but he got fired last year. Oh wait, maybe he was only fired from
doing baseball games--he used to cover Detroit Tiger games too.
