Why close the recruiting window even more?
 
If this is true,  many would only have three years of scholarship
eligibility. Institutions would give out less scholarship dollars ... and
careers (four years) at one school will become an extinct commodity?  Coaches
will recruit the best for shorter periods, win more,  pay out less in
scholarships, cause the best won't stick around.  This seems too cheap a shot
for the kids who have nothing but college
to aspire to.
 
Whether it will give an advantage to West Coast schools, I doubt. The East
pays their dues at prep-school and the West supplies the USHL. If you're
saying that the West grows em bigger, you might be right.
