>  According to what I've read, if the teams split the first two games and
the score is tied at the end of the 3rd period of the 3rd game, then they
should resurface the ice after the 3rd period and go right to 20 minute
overtimes
 
Princeton at Brown, 3/12/95, resolved the third game of their QF in double
overtime.  Does anyone remember how the o.t. periods went?
