That was former University of Alaska Anchorage defenseman Jeff Batters
who was killed in the car crash.  Sherri Kalan, 18, of Red Deer was also
killed.  Marcus Joby Messier was also hospitalized in serious but stable
condition in Foothills Hospital in Calgary along with his older brother
Mitch.
