So, I finally had a chance to look closely at the Cornell
schedule posted by Arthur, and updated by Bill, and the first thing
that leaps out is the distribution of non-conference games: Miami
(home), Merrimack (neutral), Providence/Colgate (neutral), Michigan
(away), Army (home), Ferris State (home). Four of the seven games are
against CCHA teams; guess Schafer really did have an impact on the
schedule (altho I expect UIC's demise contributed as well). It's also
tilted towards home contests: four at Lynah, two in Syracuse, and just
the one away game in Ann Arbor. I'm really relishing the idea of the
Faithful making a strong impression on the Redskins and Bulldogs. Oh,
and one other odd point: the two-game series with Ferris seems
strange, given the 29-game Ivy limit. Presumably the Red had to pass
up another opportunity to schedule the second Ferris game. Did the
Bulldogs insist on the two games if they were going to make the trip
East?
