The SIEVE cheer has been around a LONG time. I first heard it when our
Laker Pep Band traveled to a series at MTU in 1977. The crowd used a sign
with different fans holding up each letter. We though it was cute. The
next night, we had a sign (and cheer): FUNNEL, FUNNEL, FUNNEL.
