I'll just retype this (sans permission) from today's (11/14/94) St. Paul Pioneer
Press article by Gregg Wong.

Gophers hockey coach Doug Woog and his assistants signed four players to tenders
over the weekend.

Wyatt Smith, a center from Warroad, was signed Saturday by assistant coaches
Bill Butters and Mike Guentzel. The coaches made a side trip to Warroad from
Grand Forks before Saturday night's Gophers-North Dakota rematch to sign Smith.

On Sunday night, Woog signed defenseman Billy Kohn of Roseville and the St. Paul
Vulcans, center Erik Rasmussen of St. Louis Park and wing Mike Anderson of
Bloomington Jefferson.

"We think we've upgraded our speed, skill and size with these players," Woog
said.

The Gophers wil try to sign one more player before the early signing period ends
this week. That player likely will be wing Reggie Berg of Anoka, who plays for
Des Moines of the U.S. Hockey League.

If a fifth player is not signed this week, the Gophers must wait until the next
signing period in April to sign their final recruit for next year's freshman
class.
