.... and furthermore, between periods of Monday's game between
the Rangers and the Capitals, Ranger broadcaster Al Trautwig interviewed
former MSU defenseman Joby Messier (now with the Rangers, currently paired
with Brian Leetch).  The interview focused quite a bit on Ron Mason and
his "greatness" and "toughness" as a coach and how Mason's coaching had
shaped Messier's playing style.  Trautwig and Messier also discussed
the differences between the College game and the NHL game not only in
regard to quality of play but also in terms of player development.
