This is correct. In men's ECAC D3, the ECAC East has to exclude D2 St. Anselm
from their playoffs to maintain the autobid to the NCAA D3 tourney.
Similarly, the ECAC Northeast has to exclude D2 Assumption, Stonehill, and
Southern New Hampshire to maintain their autobid. I believe the ECAC holds a
separate Division II playoff for these schools, which essentially takes the
place of the defunct NCAA Division II championship.
