I tried to search the Hockey-L archives via a "listserv search" but I
couldn't find any history on the McNaughton Cup.  I'm sure someone posted
a message on this in the past year or so.
 
Could someone give me a history or point me in the right direction.
 
If you are wondering why...
 
While in our local arena (Pullar Stadium, Sault Ste Marie, MI) today I
was upstairs in the trophy room and I saw a picture from 1916 of a team
called the "Soo Hockey Club" who had won the McNaughton Trophy.  I'm
wondering if this is one and the same of the won in use today.
