We will be shutting down the UMS mail server (mail.maine.edu) for
maintenance on sunday morning at about 7AM.  If all goes well, it should
be down for only about 10 minutes.

For those interested in the details:

Since upgrading the mail server we have run into a mailbox locking
problem that is occurring once every day or two.  This causes a few mail
clients to hang and most to just slow down.  To get past this problem we
are switching from Berkeley DB4 (B-tree) to Cyrus skiplist for the
mailbox database.  The locking is a bit more robust in skiplist and as a
side benefit, skiplist should actually be a bit faster.
