World IPv6 Day is coming up (June 8th).

Link: http://isoc.org/wp/worldipv6day/

The goal of World IPv6 Day is a 24-hour "trial run" of advertising
IPv6 DNS (AAAA) records for popular services to see what breaks.
(Google did a study last year and found that less than 0.01% of their
users have "broken" IPv6 and would see problems as a result).

Here in Maine we've been offering IPv6 as a production service since
2008-2009 and have been advertising IPv6 DNS for core UMS services
(such as www.maine.edu) for almost just as long.

For most within the system enabling IPv6 on a network is a very easy
and small change for us at this point.

If you're interested in having IPv6 access on one of your networks for
IPv6 day then drop me a note.

We can help with getting IPv6 access to you, configuring hosts and
servers, and setting up IPv6 DNS records to reach them.

Non-UMS members of MaineREN are invited too. MaineREN can provide you
with help getting an IPv6 allocation (or provide you with space) and
deliver native IPv6 transit.

We also have staff available for IPv6 training sessions if needed.
