As others have already noted, Dave Taylor did play 4 years at Clarkson
and did graduate. I had him as a student while teaching there and can say
that he was one of the best students I have had in 20 years of college teaching.
He was articulate, wrote very well, was always prepared for class, and was
very intelligent. Also a great college hockey player. In those years, Clarkson
had to get through the ECAC playoffs to get to the NC$$ tourney, which they
never managed to do in the 4 years Dave was at Clarkson. I still talk to
Dave every once in a while. The last converstation we had, he indicated
some desire to play another year or two. His contract expires at the end
of this season. I hope the Kings keep him for another year or two. It is
apparent to me that he hasn't lost a step as so many others have.
Speaking of collegiate players who also won a Stanley Cup, what about
Ros Langway. I think he was on a cup winner in his days at Montreal although
I doubt Vermont ever won the NC$$.
