Well, I'll give it a shot.  It looks like Minnesota is the team that jumped
in front of Clarkson, and the Gophers did go 1-0-1 at #8-ranked Wisconsin
this weekend.  I'm guessing that was considered more impressive than Clark-
son's beating a slumping Yale team and Princeton.
