Subject: Commodore...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saw in the May 12th Grand Forks Herald, that North Dakota Junior defenseman
Mike Commodore has been ranked 24th by the NHL's Central Scouting Service.
He is listed in the 1st round of the rankings for forwards and defensemen.
The article also lists the Gophers Jordan Leopold and the Badgers Dave
Tanabe as possible 1st round picks.
The article goes on to say that if the 6-4, 225 lb Commodore goes in the
1st round of the June 26 NHL Entry Draft, he might be tempted to turn pro
right away. That may depend directly on who might draft him, and how that
organization believes in development in the college ranks.
UND fans hope he gets drafted highly...but that he hangs around another
year or 2....
