As the only fulltime Michigan fan on this list I'll try and keep
gloating to a minimum.
I would like to thank all the seniors, they were the most important part
of this championship, It couldn't happen to nicer guys

MATT HERR-Matt Herr gave up a professional baseball contract with the
braves for a chance to win the national title and was rewarded twice. He
was injured early in the season but was always a leader to the young
kids.

BILL MUCKALT-Bill Muckalt was offered a huge contract by the Vancouver
Canucks. He thought about leaving but remembered how the year before
other players had stayed behind when they could have gone to the pros.
He came back and was Michigans scoring leader and also a mentor to the
freshmen

MARTY TURCO-Marty Turco had the job of replacing Steve Sheilds arguably
the greatest college goalie ever. Turco came in as a freshmen and
rewrote many goaltending records. He never lost a lead going into the
third period, and anchored Michigan in many games

GREGG MALICKE-Gregg Malicke didn't play much for Michigan but every
practice he gave his all to help the team. He knew he would have to play
behind the best goalie in college hockey but never quit working, he was
always ready when called upon

CHRIS FOX-In his first game CHris Fox looked horrible, He didn't play
much as freshmen and thought about quitting several times. But he stuck
with the program and by this year was one of Michigans most solid
defenders. He couldn't be beaten on one on ones and became more of an
offensive threat(goal against Princeton, overtime assist against BC).
Chris was also a great student as he attends medical school

Congradulations to one of the greatest classes in college hockey history
your legacy will not soon be forgotten
