                 CCHA GRANTS ALASKA-FAIRBANKS LEAGUE AFFILIATION
 
Anaheim, CA -- Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Commissioner Bill
Beagan announced today that the University of Alaska at Fairbanks (UAF) has
been granted an affiliate membership in the CCHA commencing with the 1992-93
season.
 
The University of Alaska at Fairbanks was represented by athletic director Dr.
G. Lynn Lashbrook, faculty representative Edward Kridge and assistant athletic
director Karen Morris.
 
Details of the affiliation are being finalized by the CCHA Executive Committee
and provides the opportunity to the University of Alaska at Fairbanks for a
berth in an expanded CCHA post-season play-off format.
