CCHA players dominate NHL Central Scouting rankings: In the recently released
NHL Central Scouting rankings of U.S. College players five of the top ten are
from the CCHA.  1) Tim Hogan, D, Michigan; 2) Brent Peterson, F, Michigan Tech;
3) Brian Loney, F, Ohio State; 4) Eric Flinton, F, New Hampshire; 5) Marko
Tuomainen, F, Clarkson; 6) Alan Sinclair, D, Michigan; 7) Raymond (Rem)
Murray, F, Michigan State; 8) Ben Coughlin, F, Harvard; 9) Adrian Aucoin, D,
Boston University; 10) Steve Suk, F, Michigan State.

Miami having best year ever in CCHA: Since joining the CCHA for the 1981-82
season, the Redskins have never been .500 at the break, and their 14 points in
league play are the most ever at this point. Ironically, Miami has played the
fewest number of league games except for their first season.

Lake Superior defense strong again this year: The Lakers have held their
opponents to one goal on seven occasions this season. In addition, Lake
Superior has shutout the opposition twice in 19 games during 1991-92.

Felsner sets Michigan career goal record: Michigan senior Denny Felsner
scored three goals on Friday to break Dave Debol's school record of 112
lamp-lighters. Felsner recorded two markers on Saturday to raise his career
total 115. Debol played for the Wolverines from 1975-78.
