Here are two of my favorites:
1989 NCAA Championship Game: Harvard 4 Minnesota 3 (OT)
Hobey Baker laureates Lane McDonald and Robb Stauber...Ted Donato...Tom
Chorske hitting the post in overtime...and Harvard's first NCAA
championship in ANY sport. This one was a classic truly worthy of a
championship game.
Feb. 19, 1993 Hockey East game: Boston University 7 Maine 6 (OT)
Talk about a comeback! The Terriers were down 6-2 in the second period
against the then-"unbeatable" Black Bears. But BU hung in there, tied it
up with minutes to spare, and won it in OT on a Mike Predergast goal,
delivering Maine's only loss in their championship season. And it
happened at Alfond, to boot!
